This work consists of the 44.000 public Facebook images derived 3179 group members of „akademie der bildenden künste in wien“ which where extracted from the cache of my browser. One portrait is enough to leave a digital face recognition stamp, that can be used to identify you in a live stream of a surveillance camera in the public space. In December 2019 the Austrian police was planing to use face recognition in criminal prosecution initial only with the database of 580.000 “erkennungsdienstliche Evidenzen“ (identification material database)¹. That means every face captured in a crime will be researched automatically the central database. Because of technical problems the usage of face recognition was postponed to the end of 2020². Measures against being identified can be found³ or use an umbrella.
